Parents,

I hope you are all staying safe and healthy as we make our way through May.  I wanted to take a few minutes to update you on the status of your refunds and a few other items that normally happen around now.

Refunds:  I have been told by our vendor that they expect to be processing our refunds this week.  The NYS board does appreciate your patience on this.  Our vendor is working their way through this process as quickly as they can for each program they service.  We are in constant communication with them and will notify you of there are any changes to this timeline.

Tryouts:  Normally around the end of May we hold our travel team evaluations.  Clearly that will not be happening this month due to the current social distancing guidelines.  We are continuing to monitor the situation and if we have an opportunity to get something scheduled, we will.  If we cannot, please be assured that we will do our absolute best to place every player on the appropriate teams with the information we have available to us from past play and coaches’ evaluations.

Fall Registration:  The reopening plan announced by Governor Baker today looks promising for us to be able to play in the fall and we have been hard at work planning for that season already.  We are working through a few scenarios with our vendor to be able to both get our teams ready in time (we need to submit travel teams to BAYS by the beginning of August) and to mitigate the risk to all parties should we be forced to cancel another season.  Once we have a firm plan in place, we will open registration with a detailed communication of your options and deadlines.

Lastly, if your players are looking for some soccer related activities, especially as the weather is improving, Mass Youth Soccer has published a lot of great ideas on their website: https://www.mayouthsoccer.org/stay-at-home-training-ideas/

Be safe and stay healthy.
