Welcome to the Norwood Youth Soccer TOPS Challenger Program!
We are proud to be affiliated with the US Youth Soccer TOPS (The Outreach Program for Soccer), a community-based soccer initiative tailored to cater to the needs of individuals with intellectual, emotional, or physical challenges. At our core, we believe that soccer is a sport that belongs to everyone.
For those players who may not be able to participate in the NYS Intramural or Travel programs, we present the TOPS Challenger program. This specialized program offers a nurturing environment where individuals can both learn and engage in soccer. Our primary focus is to provide a safe and inclusive space for players of all abilities.
Since its inception in 2009, Challenger Soccer has been an uplifting force. Year after year, we witness the remarkable progress and growth our players achieve. What's truly heartening is the formation of enduring friendships among our returning players, who are united by their shared passion for soccer.
Our commitment extends to our older players as well, who are offered the chance to participate in a mini-league featuring teams from neighboring towns. This dynamic program continues to thrive, offering a blend of skill-building and enjoyment. The mini-league involves both home and away games against other TOPS/Challenger Towns.
To those seeking volunteer opportunities and aiming to make a positive impact, we extend a warm invitation. We especially encourage teenagers to lend a hand, particularly in assisting our younger players. However, a full-season commitment is essential for those interested in volunteering.
